Why do you have to sign a contract with DUWO and submit documents?
The Dutch government ensures that enough housing is available for people with a modest income. This policy is implemented by the social housing managers, one of which is DUWO. Tenants can count on a social housing provider that is trustworthy and that the property they rent meets the government rules, including a rent that fits their income. The government strictly checks this. Therefore, it is necessary that the tenant signs a tenancy agreement in which everything is laid down in accordance with the rules and that the tenant shows that he belongs among the target beneficiaries.
